Consultation conference Implementation plan of the project "Less Plastic Waste in Vietnam's tourism sector" in Ninh Bình Province.

On 17 May morning, Ninh Bình Province, the Vietnam Tourism Association, Natural Resources, and Environment policy combined with Ninh Binh Tourism to open a conference on the consulting project implementation plan “Less Plastic Waste in Vietnam Tourism” in Ninh Binh Province.

The “Less Plastic Waste in Vietnam Tourism” project was financed by the United National Development Programme (UNDP) which began around 18 months ago (starting from January 2023 ), and this project does basic practice in Ninh Binh and Quang Nam. Attending the seminar were leaders of the Department of Tourism, Vietnam Tourism Association, Institute of Strategy, Policy on Natural Resources and Environment, Ninh Binh Tourism Association, leaders of some localities, and representatives of business units. tourism services in the province.

Aloud to deploy the “Less Plastic Waste in Vietnam Tourism” project in Ninh Binh at the right time to help protect the environment because of sustainable development of Ninh Binh tourism, national and global, respectively.
Within 3 stage includes:  
•    Improve mindset
•    Practice new solutions, and create to decrease plastic waste in tourist spots.
•    Build new plans and apps to manage plastic rubbish for tourism enterprises.
Time for entering: from January to June 2023. The design of the questionnaire for the subjects and data entry forms has been completed.

At the Conference, the strategic institute representative, Policy on Natural Resources and Environment shared a plan “Less Plastic Waste in Vietnam Tourism” project in Ninh Binh which wants new participants with close connection to Ninh Binh province. All representatives share their experience and methods and also the advantages and disadvantages of less plastic waste from the source.

In its role, the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Institute for Strategy, Resource Policy, and Environment will actively help, support, and advise Ninh Bình in the implementation of the project aimed at reducing tourism plastic waste, moving towards the construction of clean, friendly destinations and sustainable development.
