Recognizing 2 districts of Tra Vinh province to meet new rural standards

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang had just signed Decisions No. 624/QD-TTg and 625/QD-TTg recognizing Duyen Hai district and Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province to meet the new rural standards (NRS) in 2022

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province to announce and reward according to regulations; instructed Duyen Hai district and Cau Ngang district to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on planning and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in NR construction.

It is known that Cau Ngang district has 13 communes recognized as meeting NRS; 02 towns of Cau Ngang and My Long meet civilized urban standards. In which, the district has 03/13 communes recognized as meeting advanced NRS in the period of 2018 - 2020; there are 90/90 NRS hamlets.

Over 12 years of implementing construction, the total resources mobilized for the construction of NR district are over VND 1,881 billion VND, of which residential community capital contributes over VND 47,611 billion VND. By the end of 2022, the district's multidimensional poverty had decreased to 3.4%. Per capita income in 2022 will reach 62.41 million VND/year, an increase of 49.7 million VND compared to the end of 2010. Striving to 2025, Cau Ngang has 08 communes meeting advanced NRS; 03 communes with model NRS, districts with advanced NRS; Per capita income reaches 76 million VND/year.

For Duyen Hai district, the total resources mobilized to implement the NR district construction program are over VND 1,315 billion VND. The district has 06 communes meeting NRS; including 02 communes Long Vinh and Dong Hai with advanced NRS; there is 01 Long Thanh town meeting civilized urban standards. Synchronized rural transport system with asphalt and concretion; the proportion of households using electricity reached 99.67%; permanent housing reached 93% according to regulations of the Ministry of Construction.

Education and Training in NR communes has prospered, by the end of 2022, there are 12 schools meeting national standards level 1. Poor households of the district are less than 04%; in which, multidimensional poor households of 03 communes of Long Vinh, Long Khanh, Dong Hai are below 2.5%. Per capita income reached 60.48 million VND/year.
