Segregation of solid domestic waste promotes enhanced reuse, waste recycling, disposal, maximizing value, and prolonging the circulation of the product. Based on Dispatch No. 9368/BTNMT-KSONMT of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) on the Technical Guidelines for the Segregation of Solid Waste, A Chau Environment invites you to refer to the segregation guidelines, the storage of organic waste and some solutions to increase the recycling.
The group of food waste under the latest regulations is identified and classified as follows:

1. Food residue, food expiration: Guaranteed to be stored, contained in containers, bags, packaging, etc.
2. Vegetables, fruits, etc.; products disposed of from livestock, poultry, fish, and seafood: Guaranteed, contained in containers, bags, packaging, etc., sealed, non-leak, preventing odor spread.
Collecting, utilizing, and treating by-products such as food waste from primary harvesting, food processing, feed residues, etc., in accordance with the regulations, contributes to reducing food waste and protecting the environment.

Compost split is currently the most widely used organic waste treatment solution, thanks to its simple implementation. Composite with the participation of microorganisms, transform waste into organic fertilizer, help reduce environmental pollution, create fertilizers for clean agriculture, as well as clean soil to grow clean vegetables and household crops.
In the past, in addition to the propaganda of sorting garbage at source, locals simultaneously trained how to sort organic compost in households quickly from simple containers (old trash cans, wooden cans, etc.). We can see that we can not only “recycle” most of the waste in the garden but also enrich the soil and protect our habitat.
