Da Nang youth join forces to raise awareness of environmental protection for the community!

On the morning of September 4, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Delegation organized the launch of the project "The community joins hands to protect water sources and improve the landscape of Phu Loc River in Thanh Khe district" and propaganda to raise environmental protection awareness for the community at Yen Khe 1 and Yen Khe 2 roads (Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city).

Within the framework of the program, The Committee of Delegation, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, People's Committee of 02 wards of Thanh Khe Dong, Thanh Khe Tay organized the launching ceremony to launch 02 models "Model of each household, unit of one road" and "Model of fishermen to protect water sources of Phu Loc River", environmental sanitation of Phu Loc River includes the main contents such as: presenting the implementation items within the framework of the project in Phu Loc River and signing a commitment of responsibility between the parties in the process of implementing the project and maintaining model products after the project; Communication training to raise public awareness in environmental protection and water resources of Phu Loc River; Launch activities of painting and repairing flower beds, environmental sanitation, cleaning the water surface in the area on both sides of Phu Loc River, sweeping garbage on both sides of the roadside, trimming trees at flower beds, collecting garbage, cleaning the water surface in Phu Loc River; Mural painting with the theme "Green Da Nang" from 150 Yen Khe 1 to the gate of the swimming center of the University of Physical Education and Sports (190 m).

According to Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Union Le Cong Hung, this project aims to treat pollution on Phu Loc River, create fresh air; contributing to raising people's awareness, forming a cultural lifestyle and urban civilization associated with environmental protection.

According to Mr. Le Cong Hung, in 2023, volunteer activities to protect the environment, especially the movement to protect water resources across the city, will be focused.

Accordingly, ministerial levels of the delegation strengthened propaganda on environmental protection; focused on solutions to protect water sources, planted new trees, cared for and maintained trees; and continued to invest in and build model models of environmental protection for replication.

In addition, the Union ministerial levels promote and maintain youth action models against plastic waste; support start-up ideas, start-up models and careers of young people in the field of environmental protection.
