Thanh Hoa City: Stipulations of the Law on Environment Protection for the industrial zone as widespread

At a conference on September 28, 2023, Nghi Son Town prevailed over the Law on Environment Protection regulations, which helped enterprises move out of stuck-in-progress and have knowledge of the Law on Environment Protection regulations.   

Leadership and representative of Nghi Son Economical Directorate and industrial area; representative of local government at various levels and enterprises of Thanh Hoa City.

Opening the conference, Comrade Tran Chi Thanh, Deputy Chief of the Management Board of the Nghi Son Economical area and Thanh Hoa City stressed that the Management Board of the Nghi Son Economy area and Thanh Hoa City are entrusted by the Government to carry out many functions and tasks on Vietnam State management in the field, including environmental protection. Over the years, this content has always received the leadership attention of the Party, the State, and the Government, especially since the Law on Environmental Protection of 2020.

Hoang Van Vy, former Deputy Director of Northern Environmental Protection, spoke at the conference. Environmental expert Hoang Van Vy has brought many contents and legal knowledge important to the implementation of the provisions of the Environmental Protection Law, such as: Identifying environmental procedures by project classification; Preliminary environmental impact assessment; Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA); and Changes to the content. Revision, modification, and renewal of environmental licenses/registrations; waste disposal plant testing; environmental registration; processing of filings awarded environmental authorizations, etc.

During the conference discussion session, business representatives raised several concerns, including the procedures for adjusting the wastewater treatment system after the area coefficient changed due to urban upgrading; and adjusting the environmental treatment system to match the licensed environmental profile, etc. Experts have adequately responded to these queries.

The enterprises can confirm a method to solving in progress which guarantees to comply with the Law on Environment Protection by the conference. High efficiency and pragmatism lead to contributing to managing the state bureaucracy that protects the environment in the local area.
