Tang Nhon Phu A Ward (Thu Duc City): Organizes a hands-on activity on composting organic waste from leftover food, vegetables, fruit peels, ... in household waste after waste sorting!

On the morning of February 16, 2025, at the People’s Committee of Tang Nhon Phu A Ward, a hands-on activity on composting organic waste from food waste, with the active participation of nearly 50 Youth Union members - representatives of the local neighborhoods and teachers from schools in the area interested in environmental activities.

The hands-on experience provided specific insights into the role and importance of waste sorting at the source, especially after the legal regulations officially take effect on January 1, 2025.

As part of the program, student representatives from the Institute of Science and Technology & Environmental Management under Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City shared some insights on the composting process, experience in selecting materials, pre-processing, and composting food waste, vegetables, fruit feels,... This contributes to reducing household food waste after waste sorting.

Youth Union members also had hands-on practice, with composting materials being kept and brought back to the local neighborhoods to further promote composting activity in the community.
