On 30/09/2022, at the district Political Center, the district Women's Union, in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoc Mon district, organised the Festival "Women Act for Green, Clean and Environmentally Friendly Hoc Mon District" in 2022.
A member of the Standing Committee attended the festival – Head of the Organizing Committee-Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Linh; Vice Chairman of District Women's Union, Nguyen Thuy Linh; Deputy Head of Natural Resources and Environment Department of Phan Tu Trinh district; and representatives of leaders and district unions; representatives of leaders of district departments and agencies; leaders of Party Committees – People's Committees of communes and towns and members, women and households in communes and towns.

The festival has contributed to providing useful information, encouraging and calling on members, women and people in the district to join hands to carry out practical activities for the environment, such as planting more trees, cleaning the neighbourhood periodically on Saturday and Sunday, carrying out the proper segregation of domestic waste at the source under current regulations.
With the enthusiastic sharing of Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoi – Specialist of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Environmental Protection. The knowledge and information related to the classification of domestic waste at the source from households has been transmitted vividly, meaningfully, and integrated through questions and eco-friendly gifts of reusable water bottles.

The majority of women and people participating in the festival strongly agreed with the activities taking place and hoped that the Women's Union of Hoc Mon district and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoc Mon district would continue to organise similar useful activities.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee gave a lot of gifts to encourage waste sorting. The form of conversion is calculated by the amount of plastic waste that people bring under the "Plastic Waste Exchange Program" of the Association, such as waste bins, ornamental flower pots, cloth bags, hats,...
