Quang Tri Province: Training standards and administration under the 2020 law on environmental protection

Implement training plans and disseminate new regulations and procedures under the Law on Environmental Protection 2020. The Division of Natural Resource and Environment organizes training and guidance on environmental management for enterprises in Hai Lang District, Trieu Phong District, and Quang Tri Town.

The term aims to train environmental management in business, implementing ecological licensing procedures, waste management, and environmental reporting of enterprises.

The delegates attended: 50 representatives of the Resources and Environment Department of Hai Lang District, Trieu Phong District, and Quang Tri Town; representatives of units, enterprises, manufacturing, and business facilities.

"The routine of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 is realistic that propaganda every year at the levels from province to district," according to the keynote address. The Department of Resources and Environment has devised a plan to hold 07 sessions, separated into districts, towns, and cities, concentrating on the topics of local authorities and officials in charge of environmental matters in Quang Tri province.

This is the first training session for Hai Lang - Trieu Phong District and Quang Tri Town on corporate production ecological management requirements. The course piques the attention of others and encourages them to share their experiences with roadblocks, a lack of access to environmental management work inside the company, and the execution of ecological licensing processes. During the training session, Mr. Dung also shared the chorus: Overview of the state of the environment in the business production of enterprises in the province.

In addition, Mr. Dang Thanh Luan, the representative of EPA, also shared articles on implementing environmental licensing procedures. Includes: Identification of ecological records for operating business production facilities; Environmental licensing guidelines; Regulations on testing operation of waste treatment plants.

At the training session, the Manager of EPA, Mr. Truong Trung Kien, also shared an article on "Waste Management and Periodic Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)". The range of the theme revolves around management, guidance in managing hazardous waste for enterprises, guidance observation, and periodic EIA to enterprises.

The representative of the A Chau Environment also shared the article "Sustainable hazardous waste management solutions in the circular economy." The post also introduced the waste co-processing solution in cement furnaces: "Low-value waste is no longer reusable, recycled will be co-processing, and energy rebounded," which is a solution that maximizes the value from a waste of the lowest value in the sustainable waste management chain.
