The Day of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs and the Letter of President Ho Chi Minh to Vietnamese Business in 1945.

" ...The People's Government and I will be dedicated to helping the merchants in this construction. Individual and communal work always go hand in hand. A thriving national economy means the business of prosperous entrepreneurs...". President Ho Chi Minh wrote in his "Letter to the Vietnamese Industry and Trade," published in the Cuu Quoc Newspaper, No. 66, October 13, 1945.

Only 200 words, Uncle Ho's letter to Vietnamese entrepreneurship 07 decades ago became the first document of the Political Party and the State on the role and mission, whilst it is also the first appeal to the patriot race.

Why is October 13th Vietnamese Entrepreneur's Day?

On October 13, 1945, when the entrepreneurs gathered to form the "Commercial Relief Congress" and join the Viet Minh Front, I wrote a letter of encouragement.
Uncle Ho wrote: "...The People's Government and I will be dedicated to helping the merchants in this construction. Individual and communal work always go hand in hand. A thriving national economy means the business of prosperous entrepreneurs. Hence, I hope the workers and merchants will make every effort to encourage the industrialists and the businessmen to join the trade to save the congregation and contribute their money to benefit the citizens."

Implementing your message and continuing to promote the role and tradition of the Vietnamese entrepreneurship team, encouraging the people in society to contribute to the construction and development of enterprises, the growing entrepreneurial team, meeting the demands of the industrialization and modernization of the country, September 20, 2004, Prime Minister Phan Van Khai has signed Decision No. 990/QD-TTg to mark October 13 as Vietnamese Entrepreneur's Day.

On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneur's Day on October 13, A Chau Environment spread encyclical of President Ho Chi Minh.

Building and promoting the role of the Vietnamese entrepreneurial team in the new era.

After more than ten years of implementation of Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW of Political Ministry XI on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurship in the period of advancing industrialization, modernization, and international integration. Recently, on April 21, 2023, the Government issued Resolution 58/NQ-CP on several policies and solutions focused on supporting enterprises to actively adapt, rapid recovery, and sustainable development by 2025. It targets 1.5 million by 2025, contributing 65-70% of the country's GDP.

Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW of the Ministry of Politics on building and promoting the role of the Vietnamese entrepreneurial team in the new era. The objective is to develop a large section who are strong in quantity, quality, reasonable structure, visionary, intellectual, ethical, entrepreneurial, legitimate wealth, dynamic, creative, advanced management capabilities, compliant with the law, ethic, business culture with national identity; social responsibility, sense of environmental protection, a worthy contribution to the goals of the country's development.

Mission and Solution:

1. Increase awareness of the position and role of the entrepreneurial team in achieving the country's development goals. 
2. Improve policy legislation to create a safe and equal investment business environment for entrepreneurs and enterprises to grow and contribute.
3. Envolving a solid foundation within the range of targets and the mission of developing the country in the new period.
4. Build ethics and business culture, promote the national spirit, and evoke the desire to create a prosperous country.
5. Strengthening solidarity, cooperation, and linkages between entrepreneurs and workers, farmers, and intellectuals under the leadership of the Political Party.
6. Promote the role of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Federation, the organization representing entrepreneurs and enterprises
7. Strengthen the leadership of the Political Party and the management of the State in building and promoting the role of the entrepreneurial team.
