Pre-processing is the process of pre-treating wastes in order to produce a relatively unified waste stream according to specific technical standards before participating in the next step in the manufacturing and treatment process.

Co-processing is the incorporation of an existing manufacturing process for recycling, treatment, and energy recovery from waste, waste as a raw material, alternative fuel or being treated. (according to Decree No. 38/2015/ND-CP)
