Long Son Cement implemented a heat recovery system from the start of construction to conserve power and reduce product prices. The SP system collects heat at the rear of the heat exchanger tower, while the AQC system absorbs and cools heat from the kiln. This residual heat recovery technology generates 260 million KW of power annually, fulfilling 30% of the factory's electrical needs and saving about 400 billion VND annually.
Mr Le Ngoc Cuong, Manager of the Residual Heat Power Generation Workshop at Long Son Cement Factory, said that to comply with government policy, the cement industry and factories use residual heat recovery technology for power generation. Long Son Cement has built and implemented four residual heat recovery systems to generate power, resulting in increased environmental and economic efficiency.
Mr. Truong Van Loi, Production Director of Long Son Cement Factory, announced that we are investing in a residual heat recovery system capable of producing 35MW of power. To date, we have generated power and saved almost 80 billion VND.
