The Green School Project accompanies the painting contest using waste materials in the Green Journey and Life Program at Dien Hoa Secondary School (Thua Thien Hue Province). It is a practical experiential educational activity to help students raise awareness of environmental protection, practice creative thinking skills and teamwork through painting using waste materials.

The contest is a useful playground for all 5th graders, they have the opportunity to show their painting talent, as well as send messages to protect the surrounding environment through brushstrokes.

The students play the role of child artists who use their learned skills, creative thinking and the use of waste materials in life, to voice pure, naive messages from the right awareness of environmental protection. Therefore, at the school where the future owners of the country are sown, environmental education, raising awareness and transforming students' behavior about environmental protection activities is being given proper consideration by the school in teaching and learning.

The painting of the Blue Sea Group

The children of the Blue Sea group shared the message about the painting: "Let's join hands to protect the environment, do not let the environment be polluted". Their paintings use waste materials, including: waste paper, dried leaves, plastic, straws. In the picture, they are divided into 2 parts, the polluted environment and the clean and beautiful environment. With the desire that, we all need to take action to preserve a clean and beautiful living environment, clean air, no pollution…

The painting of the Blue Earth group

Getting the idea from factories emitting exhaust gases, polluted water sources and toxic waste. Green Earth students used straws, wire, packaging, cardboard and leaves to reflect on how factories emit wastewater, air and toxic waste. Factories need to take action to protect their habitats.
